These are the characteristics of the laboratory ‘Leonardo da Vinci and the machines for building’, conceived and promoted by Autostrade per l’Italia for the entertainment of children and families at the ‘Florence of children’ event, from 12 to 14 April, at the Murate complex, in via dell’Agnolo.

Children between 6 and 12 will live a path inspired by the Italian Renaissance genius. The Laboratory, curated by researchers and disseminators of the experimental workshop of Artes Mechanicae, will bring them into contact with the cranes and construction machines designed by Leonardo. A path designed to approach – through play – the most innovative engineering techniques of the sixteenth century, admiring five wooden reproductions of machines designed by Leonardo: the Heron crane, the Strallata crane, the Vitruvian crane, the up and down with ox, the Riccardian crane, participating in games of various tools’ construction and mechanical assembly.
